Each year, the RBSA gallery opens with the annual StART exhibition.
The RBSA collaborated with Argentea Gallery to exhibit the Photographic Prize across both venues.
April welcomed the newest elected Members and Associates from the Candidates 2019 exhibition.
A range of works from the Midlands and beyond featured in the RBSA Prize exhibition.
Lookbehind the scenes of the hand-in for the annual RBSA Friends exhibition.
One of the most popular exhibitions of the year, the Portrait Prize 2019 displayed across 2 floors.
Two contrasting exhibitions highlighted the diversity in art, we looked back at the work of the late Glyn Griffiths and enjoyed the variety of Abstract Variations.
Rounding off the year was theRBSA Members and Associates, celebrating the artistic talents that comprise the society.

Thank you to everyone that visited the gallery in 2019, we’re pleased to say the visitor numbers have increased from last year.
During the last few months, The RBSA’s Learning and Engagement Manager, Natalie, introduced her new baby, and we welcomed 4 new staff members to the team. Marketing Coordinator: Magda, Learning & Engagement Manager: Rob, Events and Exhibitions Coordinator: Roseanna and Front of House Assistant: Matthew. 2020 will bring an additional member of staff as we are recruiting for a new Front of House coordinator, apply here.
For artists, the RBSA Open call for entries is currently open and 2020 will be the first year with prizes (kindly donated by Clive Beardsmore, friend of the RBSA).
The RBSA will continue evolving over the next year with our new team, volunteers, society members and friends. Entry to all RBSA exhibitions is free and many of the works on show are for sale. We recommend viewing in person before making a purchase, but you can view many current exhibitions online, with prices, at our main website.
We take a deposit or full payment at the gallery, and you can arrange to collect your work once the exhibition is over. If you can’t make it to an exhibition, call us on 0121 236 4353 or email email@example.com.
